Join us for a special Earth Day celebration that honors the connection between yoga, community, and nature while supporting the conservation of our beloved Golden Gate Park. In times of federal and state funding cuts, we recognize the importance of giving back to the spaces that nourish us. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Golden Gate Park Conservation Fund to help protect and maintain our local trails and green spaces.
Location: Purusha Yoga Studio
Celebrate Earth Day – Deepen your relationship with nature through mindful movement and community.
The Power of Yoga & Community – Yoga teaches us to move with awareness, cultivate gratitude, and find balance—both on and off the mat. By practicing together, we amplify our collective impact.
Support Local Conservation – Your participation directly benefits the Golden Gate Park Conservation Fund, ensuring that our local trails and parks remain vibrant for generations to come.
This event is hosted in partnership with Purusha Yoga, Activated Yoga, and Trail Sisters, with shared marketing efforts and community outreach. Purusha has generously waived the room rental fee, and Hannah Williams will be volunteering her time to lead the yoga class.
Pre-registration for class required
Trail Sisters was created to constitute for an equitable outdoors both recreationally and throughout the industry. Female voice and representation are essential in the future of our outdoors, impacting the role we play both on and off the trails.
To break through long-standing barriers, Trail Sisters generates educational content and resources, while fostering an inspirational community that encourages self-advocacy and life-long friendships.
Hannah Williams (she/her) is a 200HR RYA instructor teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative classes throughout the Bay Area. Certified as a trauma-informed facilitator through the Art of Yoga Project with further accreditation with Accessible Yoga as of Spring 2025, Hannah specializes in providing safe and inclusive spaces to explore mind, body, and spirit.
Her platform – Activate, Home for the Political Yogi – seeks to engage the modern yoga movement with an anti-oppressive social justice framework, honoring the call for unity at the heart of the practice.
“Activated Yoga was born from a desire to integrate my passion for community engagement and activism, and my calling toward yoga and teaching.
I believe that yoga is as much a personal practice as it is a path toward unity, empowerment, and interconnection. When we build a practice that honors our most authentic selves, we grow our capacity to respond to the world with compassion and integrity. In recognition that our own liberation is bound to the world around us, Activated seeks to reimagine the modern yoga movement as a transformative path toward global justice, equity, and radical love.”
